Full time starting salary is normally in the range £29,301 to £38,183. With potential progression once in post to £40,523 a year.
We seek to appoint a highly motivated individual to join the internationally-leading Water Sciences research theme within the School of Geography, Earth & Environmental Sciences. This person will contribute to the creation of new knowledge by undertaking collaborative research in the field of river and stream temperature (primarily) as well as hydrology, hydroclimatology and/ or ecohydrology.
The successful candidate will have a good publication record and the technical skills to deliver innovative science by using state-of-the- art methods (e.g. numerical modelling, remote sensing, statistical tools, laboratory and / or field experimentation). The appointee will be involved in some administrative tasks to support: delivery on current research projects, research impact generation and tracking, and the preparation of new research proposals. The post holder will demonstrate strong initiative and excellent teamwork skills.
