Urban screens in the city landscape
Abstract:
The dynamic development of information and communication technologies that was initiated in the second half of the XX century has inevitably changed the image of the modern city of today. Façades and parts of public spaces where innovative media technologies are integrated increasingly play a greater role. Architectural and media surfaces connected with commercial and public buildings in city centers are the most visible elements in urban space. They use digital technologies, innovative lighting and new building solutions. Media façades and media installations are surfaces that communicate, emit artistic, light projections, display images, signs and symbols, and create 3-dimensional, abstract compositions.
